Why is camporee so important to us?
Attending camporee is a special time for a Pathfinder. It’s not just a camping trip, it’s a time they learn to deal with, sometimes unexpected, challenges and build resilience. They learn new skills through competitions and honors, all while working together as a team, growing their confidence. They also get a chance to be, for the most part, unplugged, giving them the opportunity to spend time and get closer to the people who will most likely be their lifelong friends, and meet new people, too. They get to further build their community by worshipping together with SDA kids from all over New Jersey. Not only will they be enriching their friendships and skills, but their spiritual lives as well. During Camporee, Pathfinders are encouraged to pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus while spending the weekend with Christian kids, just like them.
Attending Camporee is just one more way they are connected to the worldwide Pathfinder family, and we welcome them with open arms!
